What is the difference between MDMA (Real Ecstasy),
MDEA and MDA. ? |
|
| These
Ecstasy-like substances are quite similar but definitely
NOT the same. Only MDMA is considered Real Ecstasy. If
any test indicates that a pill contains another drug (than
MDMA) or MDMA plus a second (and sometimes third and even
fourth) drug, it is NOT considered Ecstasy. |
|
What exactly am I looking for ? |
|
| A
quick reaction to dark purple. There may be a flash of
orange/brown when you apply the reagent to the powder
but right after that, it should react to dark purple (within
a few seconds). It is possible that the reaction fizzes
or smokes a bit. A different reaction is a sign that the
pill does not contain Ecstasy or that the pill might contain
Ecstasy plus a second (or maybe a third) drug. Only if
you observe a typical reaction to dark purple, you should
perform a second and third test with EZ test X-TREME to
obtain a better indication. |
|
Will EZ Test MARQUIS indicate PMA ? |
|
| Yes
and no. If the pill contains only PMA, there will be no
reaction. However, these pills are often mixed with an
Ecstasy like substance. Therefore, the fact that a pill
contains PMA (no reaction with EZ Test MARQUIS) will be
masked by the reaction of the Ecstasy like substance (quickly
to dark purple with EZ Test MARQUIS). For this reason,
you should always perform a 2nd and 3rd test with EZ Test
X-TREME to obtain an indication whether the pill ALSO
contains PMA (or another primary amine drug). |
|
Is it possible to discern between MDMA and MDE(A)
with EZ test MARQUIS ? |
|
| No,
the color changes for MDMA and MDEA (MDE) are almost similar
so, unfortunately, Ecstasy Testing Kits currently available
(from any vendor) are NOT capable of discerning MDMA from
MDEA (MDE). |
|
Is there a difference in MDE and MDEA ? |
|
| No,
MDEA and MDE are both 3,4-methylenedioxy-N-ethylamphetamine |
